Experienced Dental Assistant | Part-Time (2 Days) | Ponsonby

$30–$35 per hour (depending on experience) + Car Parking + Career Development .

Accent Your Dentists is growing, and seeks an experienced Dental Assistant to join our friendly and professional team in the heart of Ponsonby.

This is an exciting opportunity for a skilled Dental Assistant who is passionate about patient care, enjoys working in a collaborative environment, and is looking to take the next step in their career. You will work closely with Senior Dentist Dr Celina Sim, supporting the delivery of high-quality clinical care while playing an important role in the day-to-day success of the practice. We are a highly reputed practice and have an excellent team culture.

About the Role

This part-time position (2 Days) is ideal for an experienced Dental Assistant who has developed strong clinical skills and is looking for greater responsibility and professional growth.

Working alongside Dr Celina, you will provide exceptional chair-side support, contribute to practice operations, and take ownership of key clinical and administrative responsibilities.

Key Responsibilities

Provide high-quality chairside assistance across a range of dental procedures

Deliver an exceptional patient experience through professional and caring interactions

Assist with patient note-taking, treatment discussions, and follow-up of treatment plans and quotations

Prepare treatment rooms and maintain excellent infection control standards

Lead and support sterilisation processes and workflows

Manage dental supply ordering and stock control

Complete end-of-day reconciliations and reporting

Monitor and report patient rebooking outcomes

Collaborate closely with clinicians and the front office team to ensure seamless patient care

What We're Looking For

Minimum 2 years' experience as a Dental Assistant

Excellent Chair-side assisting skills

Strong communication and interpersonal skills

Professional, reliable, and organised approach

High attention to detail and commitment to patient care

Ability to work independently while contributing positively to the team

Growth mindset and willingness to learn and take feedback

Highly Regarded

Experience taking detailed clinical notes during examinations

Familiarity with Exact Dental Software

Leadership experience or an interest in mentoring and supporting team members
