Job summary

Crowne Plaza Christchurch is seeking a Demi Chef to join our Kitchen department in the heart of downtown Christchurch. You will assist the executive chef, prepare, cook and serve dishes to our standard, ensure food quality, and maintain a hygienic kitchen in line with HACCP procedures.

With at least two years’ chef experience and a relevant Diploma, you will work on breakfast or dinner shifts, manage stock levels, and support the team.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years’ experience as a Chef.
• Diploma or Vocational Certificate in Culinary Skills or related field.
• Knowledge of a la carte and banquet service.
• Ability to interact with customers, employees and third parties.
• Problem solving and training abilities.

Responsibilities

• Assist the executive chef and the kitchen team in preparing, cooking and serving dishes to Crowne Plaza Christchurch standard.
• Maintain hygienic kitchen and HACCP standards; update reports daily.
• Maintain stock levels and ensure correct production quantities.
• Cover breakfast or dinner shifts as required by business needs.
