Job summary

Hillcrest Electronic Servicing – Christchurch, South Island is seeking a hands-on Appliance Installer / Delivery Driver to join our Christchurch team. This full-time role runs Tuesday to Saturday, with every Saturday a normal working day, delivering and installing whiteware in customers' homes and ensuring a professional setup.

You will handle installations, checks, and be the face of the company on site, providing reliable service and clear documentation.

Qualifications

• Full New Zealand driver’s licence is required.
• Legal right to work in New Zealand.
• Physically capable of handling heavy appliances and long days on the road.
• Experience in appliance delivery or installation is advantageous.
• Reliable, practical and prepared to learn on the job.

Responsibilities

• Deliver and install whiteware appliances safely and efficiently.
• Disconnect and reconnect appliances including water and drainage connections.
• Position, level and correctly set up appliances.
• Complete basic installation checks before leaving site.
• Protect customers' homes and property while moving appliances.
• Provide friendly and professional customer service onsite.
• Complete job notes and required photo documentation.
• Identify and report installation issues or site hazards.
• Look after company vehicles, tools and equipment.
• Follow company procedures and health & safety requirements.

Hillcrest Electronic Servicing is an established authorised appliance service and installation company, operating for over 25 years.

With operations across Rotorua, Hamilton and Christchurch, we work alongside major national retailers and appliance brands, providing professional delivery, installation and after-sales services.

As our Christchurch operation continues to grow, we're looking for another reliable, practical person to join our local team.

The Role

We're looking for a hands-on Appliance Installer / Delivery Driver to join our Christchurch team.

This is a full-time Tuesday to Saturday position, with every Saturday being a normal working day.

This isn't simply a delivery role. You'll be delivering appliances into customers' homes, completing installations, checking that everything is correctly set up and leaving the customer with a professional experience.

You'll primarily be working with whiteware including:

• Fridges and freezers
• Washing machines
• Dryers
• Dishwashers and other household appliances

You'll work as part of our Christchurch operation completing scheduled installation and delivery runs across the region.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver and install whiteware appliances safely and efficiently

What We're Looking For

Previous appliance delivery or installation experience would be an advantage, but we're also interested in practical people with the right attitude who are willing to learn.

You'll need to be:

• Physically fit and comfortable handling heavy appliances
• Practical and confident solving problems onsite
• Reliable and punctual
• Professional and well-presented
• Comfortable dealing directly with customers
• Able to work independently and as part of a team
• Careful and respectful when working inside customers' homes
• Confident using a phone for job updates, notes and photos
• Willing to learn and develop your installation skills
• Available to work Tuesday to Saturday, including every Saturday

A full New Zealand driver's licence is required, along with the legal right to work in New Zealand.
