Dawn Media Express Limited is seeking a reliable and responsible Delivery Driver to join our team in Auckland. You will deliver newspapers, publications, parcels and other items to customers and designated delivery locations, ensuring timely and accurate service.

This hands-on role requires good driving skills, reliability, time management and a strong focus on customer service. Rosters include weekends, with 30–35 hours per week and a pay rate of $24.95–$29.00 per hour.

Qualifications

• Valid New Zealand Class 1 driver's license or equivalent.
• Previous driving or delivery experience preferred.
• Good knowledge of Auckland roads and local areas.
• Strong time management and organisational skills.
• Ability to follow delivery schedules and instructions accurately.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate the delivery vehicle and deliver newspapers, publications, parcels and other items to customers.
• Plan and follow assigned delivery routes efficiently.
• Provide excellent customer service and communicate courteously with customers.
• Maintain accurate delivery records and complete reasonable duties for the delivery function.
• Perform basic daily checks of the delivery vehicle and report safety issues.

Key responsibilities

Collect newspapers, publications, parcels and other items from the designated dispatch location.

Load and secure items safely in the delivery vehicle.

Plan and follow assigned delivery routes efficiently.

Deliver items to customers and designated locations accurately and within the required timeframes.

Check delivery details and ensure the correct items are delivered to the correct locations.

Handle delivered items carefully to prevent damage.

Obtain delivery confirmation where required.

Communicate courteously and professionally with customers.

Report any delivery issues, delays, damaged items or incorrect addresses to management.

Carry out basic daily checks of the delivery vehicle and report any maintenance or safety issues.

Comply with New Zealand road rules, company procedures and workplace health and safety requirements.

Maintain accurate delivery records and complete other reasonable duties directly associated with the delivery function.

Skills and experience
