Placements24 in Welkom is seeking a DeFi Engineer to design, develop, and implement DeFi protocols and applications using blockchain technology. You will collaborate with product managers and engineers to deliver secure, efficient financial solutions and contribute to the growth of the decentralized economy.

The role focuses on smart contracts (Solidity), DeFi primitives, AMMs, yield farming, staking, and derivatives, plus testing, audits, and gas optimization.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in developing and deploying DeFi applications or protocols.
• Strong understanding of DeFi concepts such as AMMs, yield farming, staking, and derivatives.
• Familiarity with Web3 development tools and libraries and blockchain security practices.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain smart contracts for DeFi protocols including lending, borrowing, and DEXs.
• Integrate DeFi primitives into new and existing applications.
• Optimize smart contract performance and gas efficiency.
• Conduct testing, security audits, and formal verification ofDeFi contracts.
• Collaborate to design and architect new DeFi products and features.
• Stay updated with evolving DeFi landscape and regulatory considerations.
