Job summary

Abano Healthcare is modernising its data platform across Azure and Microsoft Fabric, with a hands-on Data Operations Engineer leading day-to-day health and performance of ETL/ELT pipelines. You will ensure reliable data movement, collaborate with analysts and IT, and contribute to AI-powered enhancements.

This role focuses on operational excellence, documentation, and ensuring data quality and lineage across the Fabric and Power BI environment, enabling smarter clinical data insights.

Qualifications

• Strong SQL skills and ability to write complex queries.
• Experience operating, monitoring, and troubleshooting ETL/ELT data pipelines.
• Experience with Microsoft Fabric Data Factory and/or Azure Data Factory.
• Knowledge of PySpark for data processing.

Responsibilities

• Monitor the health and performance of ETL/ELT pipelines across Azure SQL Data Warehouse and Fabric environments.
• Investigate, troubleshoot, and resolve pipeline failures and data-quality issues.
• Identify bottlenecks and opportunities to optimise data processes.
• Develop monitoring, alerting, and runbooks for data pipelines.
• Support downstream Power BI datasets and BI solutions.
