Job summary

Salt is seeking a Databricks-focused Data Engineer to deliver advanced data engineering solutions for diverse NZ clients. Location options include Auckland (Senior) or Wellington (Intermediate), with an onsite CBD office and flexible hours beyond client work.

Candidates should have strong Databricks experience and familiarity with GCP/AWS, SAP S/4HANA, and SAP Datasphere. You will nurture client relationships and help expand internal data engineering capabilities while contributing to sales and

Qualifications

Solid Databricks experience, Wellington for intermediate or Auckland for senior level.
Active Databricks project involvement preferred over certifications.
SAP S/4HANA and SAP Datasphere experience is valuable.
Client-facing consulting experience is advantageous.
Strong communication skills and ability to work with diverse clients.

Responsibilities

Develop data engineering solutions for clients.
Maintain and nurture client relationships.
Contribute to development of internal data engineering capabilities for senior hires.
Document industry best practices for Data Engineering & Analytics solutions.
Assist sales with data engineering solutions and create service offerings.
Work with NZ market to tailor offerings and maintain billable client work during business hours.
