Job summary

Fisher Funds is seeking a Data Engineer to join the Data & Insights team in Auckland or Wellington. You will build and enhance the data platform, develop pipelines, and ensure reliable data for reporting and analytics.

Collaborate with stakeholders to deliver practical data solutions and drive data-driven decision making. You’ll focus on data quality, governance, and scalable data models while supporting migration from legacy systems and maintaining cloud-based platforms.

Qualifications

• 3+ years' experience building, maintaining, and troubleshooting data pipelines.
• Understanding of data engineering principles and cloud platforms.
• Experience delivering data models for reporting and analytics.
• Familiarity with DevOps, version control, and code review processes.
• Knowledge of data quality, governance, and security basics.
• Strong problem-solving and stakeholder communication abilities.
• Ability to work independently and manage priorities.
• Experience with Snowflake, dbt, and AWS is advantageous.
