Job summary

Watercare Services Limited in Auckland is seeking an experienced Domain Architect - Data to shape how data, analytics and AI are designed and used across Watercare. This strategic role sets architectural direction and ensures our platforms and data work together effectively for delivery.

You will lead roadmaps, standards and blueprints, influence architecture decisions across BI, ETL, ML and AI, and collaborate with Data, Analytics and AI leads to turn direction into practical solutions that

Qualifications

• 5+ years’ experience in solution design, including at least 3 years working within the data domain.
• Strong experience across modern data and analytics architecture.
• Good knowledge of BI, data warehousing and ETL.
• Understanding of machine learning, AI and emerging technologies such as LLMs.

Responsibilities

• Shaping and evolving our data, analytics and AI architecture
• Developing architecture roadmaps, standards, patterns and blueprints
• Leading high-level solution design across the data and analytics domain
• Helping Watercare continue to move towards a more data-led way of working
• Providing architectural guidance across BI, data warehousing, ETL, machine learning and emerging AI technologies
• Working closely with Data, Analytics and AI Technical Leads to turn architectural direction into practical solutions
• Providing architecture guidance and assurance across projects and programmes
• Working with business and technical stakeholders to understand requirements and develop scalable solutions
• Influencing key technology and architecture decisions across Watercare
• Supporting and mentoring other architects and technical specialists across the team
