Job summary

Reboot Monkey is seeking a Data Center Technician to join our Albany, New Zealand team. This full-time, on-site role focuses on maintaining critical data center infrastructure, including server and network equipment, cabling, power, and environmental monitoring.

The position requires hands-on experience in data center operations, strong documentation, and the ability to work with engineering and operations teams. A robust benefits package accompanies the role.

Qualifications

• 3+ years data center operations experience required.
• Expert cabling skills (Cat6/6a, OM3/OM4/OS2 fiber) preferred.
• Strong troubleshooting and documentation abilities required.
• Experience with rack and stack operations preferred.
• Knowledge of power distribution and UPS systems is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Install, configure, and maintain server and network equipment.
• Perform structured cabling (copper and fiber optic).
• Execute hardware deployments and decommissions.
• Monitor environmental systems (power, cooling, security).
• Respond to incidents and perform troubleshooting.
• Maintain accurate documentation and asset tracking.
• Collaborate with engineering and operations teams.
• Participate in capacity planning and upgrades.
