Job summary

KPMG New Zealand is seeking a Data & Analytics Lead to step into a leadership role where innovation meets impact. You will lead and oversee the delivery of high impact consulting engagements, design innovative solutions with senior executives, and drive business development.

The ideal candidate has over 8 years of advisory experience, expertise in data platforms and AI technologies, and will foster a culture of collaboration within the team. This position also offers hybrid working options and a comprehensive benefits package.

Day to day you will:
  • Lead and oversee the delivery of high impact consulting engagements focused on data strategy, advanced analytics, and AI adoption.
  • Partner with other senior executives to design innovative solutions that solve client problems and turn data into actionable insights.
  • Drive business development, utilising your pre-established network to originate opportunities that position KPMG as a trusted advisor in the AI and analytics space.
  • Shape the practice, developing methodologies, tools, and thought leadership in emerging technologies.
  • Coach and inspire talented professionals, fostering a culture of collaboration and continuous learning.
What you’ll bring to the team:
  • 8+ years of advisory experience with a strong focus on Data & Analytics and AI solutions.
  • Proven ability to lead complex projects, manage multidisciplinary teams, and deliver exceptional client outcomes.
  • Expertise in data platforms (including architecture and integration), machine learning, and emerging AI technologies.
  • A strategic mindset, exceptional communication skills, and the ability to build lasting relationships.
  • A relevant tertiary qualification and ideally a professional membership in your field.
