Job summary

New Zealand Police in Wellington is seeking an experienced Business Analyst to join the NZ Financial Intelligence Unit on a fixed-term basis. You'll work with data analysts, ICT partners and stakeholders to turn complex needs into actionable requirements, supporting data processes, analytics workflows and future technology platforms such as the NZFIU intelligence platform.

Qualifications

Proven experience gathering, documenting and managing business requirements in complex environments.
Ability to translate operational needs into clear, practical requirements.
Understanding of data, analytics and reporting to enable data-driven decisions.
Strong stakeholder communication and facilitation skills.
Experience supporting change initiatives and project delivery.

Responsibilities

Identify business needs and develop future-state data requirements.
Elicit and manage functional and non-functional requirements from concept to implementation.
Define analytics, reporting and automation requirements for platforms.
Engage stakeholders across operational and governance groups and manage dependencies.
Maintain documentation and support testing and knowledge transfer.
Support governance and change activities in a regulated environment.
