Job summary

The Ministry of Health in Wellington is seeking a data analyst to turn complex health and linked administrative datasets into insights that inform policy, planning, and system performance. You will work with datasets to identify trends, support analysis and reporting, and communicate findings through reports, presentations, and visualisations, collaborating with analysts, economists, and researchers.

Qualifications

Curiosity and an interest in using data to solve real-world problems.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a willingness to learn.
Ability to work with data, identify trends, and draw meaningful insights.
Experience using, or a willingness to learn, tools such as SQL, R, or Python.
Strong communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to explain information clearly.
