Job summary

Alexander James is seeking an experienced Cyber Security Engineer to join a large, complex technology environment. You will provide hands-on security expertise, drive security improvements, and collaborate with external security partners within a hybrid operations setting.

The role covers ongoing security operations, BAU work, and project initiatives, offering guidance, optimization, and strong collaboration with internal teams and MSPs to evolve security posture in a dynamic threat landscape.

Qualifications

• 3+ years’ experience in cyber security with cloud-based controls.
• Knowledge of network security, firewalls, WAFs and tooling.
• Experience with SIEM, IAM and vulnerability management.
• Experience securing Azure, AWS, Microsoft 365 and Active Directory.
• Incident response and improving security controls.
• Strong cross-team communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Providing technical guidance across cyber security initiatives and controls
• Assessing existing security tooling and recommending improvements
• Supporting vulnerability management and security control assessments
• Contributing to incident response, investigations and continuous improvement
• Leading security deployments, upgrades and integrations
• Working closely with internal technology teams, vendors and managed service providers
