Job summary

Transpower New Zealand Limited (TPNZ) is seeking an experienced ICT Risk and Assurance Manager to lead security risk, assurance and governance across IT, OT, cloud and third‑party environments. You’ll maintain and mature risk disciplines and provide clear evidence for governance forums.

Reporting to the Head of Security Services, you’ll collaborate with ICT, regulatory, legal and risk teams to shape a forward‑looking GRC capability and regulatory readiness for New Zealand’s national grid.

Qualifications

• 5+ years’ experience in cyber/ICT, risk, assurance, audit or governance functions.
• Proven ability to develop and operate ICT risk and assurance frameworks.
• Experience supporting senior leadership, executive governance and risk-based decision making.
• Familiarity with regulatory compliance, assurance activity and evidence-based reporting.
• Strong understanding of IT and OT security environments, including cloud and third‑party risk.

Responsibilities

• Develop ICT security risk, assurance and governance frameworks and models.
• Lead assurance programmes covering risk, control effectiveness and resilience.
• Provide reporting on ICT risk and controls to senior management and governance forums.
• Coordinate internal and external assurance activities and audits.
• Support regulatory readiness and evidence-based engagement.
