Job summary

New Zealand Couriers in Penrose, Auckland, is seeking a Customer Service Representative to help customers and support a busy branch. You’ll handle inquiries, coordinate freight, and work with Operations, Distribution and Sales to keep freight moving.

Based at the Penrose Branch, the role is Monday to Friday, 7:30am–4:00pm, with a rostered Saturday morning shift (8am–12:30pm) about once a month. Starting rate is $27.50 per hour, with free onsite parking and easy access to public transport.

Responsibilities

• Respond to customer enquiries via phone, email and in person.
• Track freight and provide customers with updates.

• Inspect freight, report damage and perform repacks when required.
• Support operational activities including sorting, scanning and processing.

About the Role

Based at our Penrose Branch, our Customer Service Representatives play a vital role in delivering exceptional service to our customers while supporting the day-to-day operation of the branch. This is much more than a desk-based customer service role.

You'll be talking with customers, resolving freight enquiries, investigating issues, coordinating service outcomes and working closely with our Operations, Distribution, Fleet and Sales teams to keep freight moving. You'll also get hands-on experience assisting with problem freight, damage inspections, repacks and other operational activities when required.

We are recrutining for a full-time position based in Penrose, Auckland, working Monday to Friday, 7:30am - 4:00pm (8 hours per day, 40 hours per week), with a rostered Saturday morning shift (8am-12.30pm) approximately once per month. The starting rate for this position is $27.50 per hour, paid weekly. We also offer free onsite parking and are conveniently located close to public transport links.

What You'll Be Doing

• Responding to customer enquiries via phone, email and on ocassion face to face.
• Tracking freight and providing customers with timely updates.
• Investigating and resolving service issues and customer queries.
• Processing bookings, freight requests and customer information accurately.
• Assisting with problem freight, including damaged, delayed or misdirected freight.
• Inspecting freight, completing repacks and reporting damage where required.
• Supporting operational activities including freight sorting, scanning and processing.
• Working collaboratively with Operations, Fleet, Distribution and Sales teams to achieve positive customer outcomes.
