Job summary

North Beach in Auckland is seeking a Customer Service Assistant to join our energetic retail team. You will handle multi-channel customer inquiries, manage order issues, and support our e-commerce and marketing colleagues.

With 1–2+ years in retail customer service or administration, you bring Zendesk, Live Chat, and Microsoft Office familiarity, plus a keen eye for detail and a friendly, solution-focused attitude. This is a Monday–Friday, on-site role at our Albany head office.

Qualifications

• 1–2+ years experience in a retail customer service, e-commerce, or administration role.
• Experience or familiarity using Zendesk, Live Chat and Microsoft Office.
• Any experience with Ontempo is a bonus.
• Strong problem-solving capability with top-notch accuracy and attention to detail.
• Excellent written and verbal communication and a positive, upbeat phone manner.
• Great time-management skills with the ability to prioritise tasks in a fast-paced environment.
• A proactive, hands-on attitude with a genuine passion for fashion, e-commerce, and retail.
• We are looking for a collaborative person with strong attention to detail and a happy, can-do attitude.

• Store & Head Office Support: Assist store teams with picklists, gift cards, courier supplies and keeping Head Office running smoothly.

We’re on the hunt for an energetic, detail-obsessed Customer Service Assistant to join our team!

This is an exciting opportunity to join a successful retail company that has been operating for over 20 years. Based at our Head Office in Albany, you’ll work closely with our E-commerce and Marketing teams. Hours are Monday to Friday, 7:30am–4:30pm.

Responsibilities for the Role

Multi-Channel Customer Care: Deliver friendly, helpful customer service via email (Zendesk), Live Chat and phone. Resolve customer enquiries, look after Locals loyalty program queries, and respond to Google and website reviews.

E-Commerce Operations & Order Management: Manage returns, exchanges, refunds and faulty item claims. Resolve order issues promptly to make sure every customer has a great experience.

Logistics & Claims: Create and send daily dispatch reports, file NZ Courier claims, execute stock adjustments, and report any dispatch errors.

Store & Head Office Support: Assist store teams with picklist issues, dispatch gift cards, coordinate courier supplies for Accounts, and help keep our Head Office running smoothly.

Skills for Success

1–2+ years experience in a retail customer service, e-commerce, or administration role.

Experience or familiarity using Zendesk, Live Chat and Microsoft Office. Any experience with Ontempo (our retail management system) is a bonus.

Strong problem-solving capability with top-notch accuracy and attention to detail.
