Job summary

Counties Energy seeks a Customer Projects Design Engineer to oversee end-to-end delivery of customer projects from initial enquiry to construction readiness. You will scope requirements, develop technically sound and commercially viable solutions for electricity supply to subdivisions and developments.

You will prepare quotes, contribute to commercial agreements, and progress approved work into construction while ensuring designs are safe, cost-effective, and compliant with regulations.

Qualifications

• Relevant qualification in electricity supply or electrical engineering.
• 3+ years’ experience in electricity design or project management roles within New Zealand or Australia.
• A good understanding of relevant legislation, regulations and industry rules relating to electricity supply.
• Understands and practices the principles of zero harm.
• Calm, professional temperament with ability to cope in pressured environments and maintain positive relationships with stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Manage end-to-end delivery of customer projects from enquiry through construction readiness.
• Prepare quotes and offers, contribute to commercial agreements, progress approved work into construction.
• Ensure designs are safe, cost-effective and compliant with company and industry standards, directly or via external specialists, and hand over to Field Operations.
• Maintain high attention to detail to ensure excellent customer satisfaction and accurate project delivery.
