• Process tax changes based on residency status.
• Coordinate with Portfolio Reporting on adjustments.
• Update Relinquished Assets Register and communicate to Private Wealth Assistants.

About The Role

We have an exciting opportunity for a Custodial Administrator to join our Operations team. Reporting to the Custodial Services Manager, this is a 12-month fixed term contract, based at our Head Office in Tauranga.

Responsibilities

The Custodial Administrator is responsible for assisting and co-ordinating stock movements for existing CSL clients within agreed service levels, including managing stock movements into and out of CSL. The role is also responsible for performing custodial reconciliations, trading and new issues processing, along with general administrative duties as required. The main responsibilities are to:

• Lodge physical stock into custody for NZX & ASX assets via the CSL Transfer spreadsheet.
• Assist with closing accounts, including the transfer of assets out of CSL and back into client’s own name
• Assist with Broker-to-Broker transfers of stock in and out of custody.
• Process shunts between depositories
• Process Company Disclosures requests
• Process respective tax changes based on residency status & process resulting parent changes
• Liaise with the Portfolio Reporting team regarding any price/quantity/narration adjustments
• Transfer stock out of relevant accounts and into CIPs Relinquished Assets account. Accurately update the Relinquished Assets Register and communicate this to Private Wealth Assistants

CSL is an integral part of the Craigs Investment Partners (CIP) product range as a full-service investment advisory firm. CSL offers a full administration service, acting as a bare trustee, holding clients securities in trust. CSL collects incomes, maintains securities, and ensures appropriate action is taken for corporate action events.

About You

We are looking for someone with high volume administrative experience in a similar field. Prior experience within Financial Services or as a custodian is highly advantageous. This role will suit a professional who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment in a collaborative team. The successful candidate will have strong time management skills and be a team player. You will also have:

• Experience within a financial services or similar environment (Desirable)
• Curiosity to learn, with a willingness to become a subject matter expert
• Ability to learn new skills quickly, embracing new technology, systems and processes
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• A high level of accuracy and attention to detail
