Ormiston Senior College is a Year 11 to 13 coeducational public school in East Auckland. We are a future-focused school with a strong commitment to student agency, personalised learning and innovative, student-centred teaching.

We are seeking an enthusiastic and forward-thinking curriculum leader – technology to join our teaching team. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced teacher who is passionate about Technology education and keen to contribute to the continued development of an innovative and future-focused technology curriculum.

For us, personalised learning means high-quality, culturally inclusive teaching that is responsive to the different ways our students achieve their best. He waka eke noa.

The successful applicant will demonstrate a commitment to:

  • collaborative teaching and learning within and across curriculum areas
  • building strong connections with ākonga and whānau
  • honouring our obligations under Te Tiriti o Waitangi
  • supporting student agency and innovative approaches to learning.

The role will provide curriculum leadership across technology, including supporting colleagues, contributing to curriculum development and ensuring engaging and purposeful learning experiences for our ākonga.

Experience in leading a team or curriculum area would be an advantage, as would the ability to teach DVC and/or product design. However, neither is a requirement. We welcome applications from experienced teachers who are ready to take their first step into curriculum leadership.

The successful applicant will also be a learning advisor, supporting and guiding a group of students in their pathways, wellbeing and academic success.
