Job summary

Zespri Group Limited in Mount Maunganui is seeking a Credit Controller to join our Finance team on a 13-month fixed-term contract. You will manage credit risk for our global customer base and protect Zespri's financial position while enabling business growth.

You will review customer forecasts and financial positions to set credit limits, monitor exposure, collaborate with Sales and Finance, and prepare insights for senior management.

Qualifications

• Experience in Accounts Receivable or Credit Control.
• Strong financial analysis and risk assessment.
• Experience in large, multi-currency international organisations.
• Intermediate to advanced Excel skills.
• Experience with SAP or a similar ERP system.

Responsibilities

We're looking for a Credit Controller to join our Finance team on a 13-month fixed-term contract, based in Mount Maunganui. Reporting to the Accounts Receivable Lead, you'll play a key role in managing customer credit risk and helping protect Zespri's financial position while enabling ongoing business growth.

You will be responsible for:

• Assessing and monitoring credit risk across Zespri's global customer portfolio
• Reviewing customer forecasts, ordering patterns and financial position to establish appropriate credit limits
• Monitoring customer credit exposure and ensuring compliance with credit policies
• Analysing credit reports and other information to evaluate customer financial health
• Working closely with Sales and Finance teams to balance commercial opportunities with risk management
• Building relationships with external credit agencies and insurers to support decision-making
• Preparing reports and insights for stakeholders and senior management
• Supporting wider Accounts Receivable activities and continuous improvement initiatives as required

You'll bring experience in Accounts Receivable, Credit Control or a similar finance role, along with strong analytical skills and the ability to confidently engage with a range of stakeholders.

To be successful, you'll have:

• Experience managing accounts receivable, customer ledgers, overdue balances or credit activities
• Strong financial analysis skills, including the ability to assess customer risk and interpret financial statements
• Experience working in a large, complex organisation with multiple currencies and international stakeholders
• Intermediate to advanced Excel skills and experience using SAP or a similar ERP system
• The ability to influence and navigate competing priorities while building positive stakeholder relationships
• Strong reporting and data analysis capabilities
• A continuous improvement mindset and willingness to support the wider team when needed
• A collaborative, approachable style with high levels of empathy and professionalism
