Soljans Estate Winery in Kumeu, NZ, is seeking a talented Sous Chef to join our acclaimed kitchen team. You will maintain high culinary standards, work under pressure, and collaborate with the Head Chef to deliver exceptional seasonal dishes.

The ideal candidate has proven experience as a Sous Chef in high-volume or fine dining, strong knowledge of techniques, ingredients, and plating, and flexibility to work weekends and holidays.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Sous Chef in a high-volume or fine dining environment.
• Qualifications and at least two years experience in a similar role preferred.

Responsibilities

• Work collaboratively with the Head Chef and wider kitchen team to ensure consistency and quality in all dishes, and smooth service.
• Assist in menu preparation and execution, bringing creativity and precision to each plate.
• Maintain high food safety and hygiene standards at all times.
• Train and support junior chefs, fostering a positive and productive kitchen environment.
• Manage stock levels, ensuring proper storage and minimal wastage.
