Job summary

UCOL invites applications for Academic Portfolio Manager, overseeing the Portfolio of Creative & Development across Manawatū, Whanganui, Wairarapa and Levin campuses. You will lead a team of academic and technical staff to ensure high teaching standards and strong student outcomes, while enhancing UCOL’s profile with industry and communities.

The role requires strategic leadership, programme development, and the ability to drive initiatives across campuses.

Qualifications

• Masters degree in Creative/Design or relevant area.
• Experience leading staff and developing high-performing teams in a tertiary environment.
• Experience in project management, design thinking and academic programme development.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage a team of academic and technical staff delivering programmes within the portfolio.
• Ensure high standards of teaching and learning and a supportive work environment for staff.
• Oversee financial and business performance of the programmes and align with workforce needs.
