Crane Operator

Hawke's Bay | Full-Time | Permanent

We are currently seeking an experienced Crane Operator to join an established and growing team working across a range of construction, civil and infrastructure projects in Hawke's Bay.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced operator looking for stable, long-term employment, varied work and the opportunity to develop their skills across a range of projects.

The Opportunity

As a Crane Operator, you will be responsible for the safe and efficient operation of cranes across a variety of worksites and projects.

Your responsibilities may include:

• General crane operations including mobile cranes
• Crane hire and site-based lifting
• Precast concrete installations
• Civil and piling-related lifting operations
• Rigger/Dogman duties as required
• Assisting with and completing lifting plans
• Carrying out routine crane checks and maintenance
• Working closely with site teams to ensure lifting operations are completed safely and efficiently

What We're Looking For

The successful candidate will ideally have:

• 3+ years' experience working in construction
• Experience with precast concrete panels would be ideal
• Unit Standard 3795, preferably
• NZ Class 4 Driver Licence
• Previous experience in a similar crane operating role
• A strong understanding of safe lifting practices and site safety
