Job summary

Connex Education Partnership is seeking confident Cover Supervisors to work across Marlborough and surrounding Wiltshire secondary schools. You will step into lessons when teachers are absent, helping students stay focused and maintain a positive learning environment.

The role offers flexible day-to-day and longer-term assignments with full training and ongoing support, plus access to professional development and potential pathways into teacher training.

Qualifications

• Experience working with young people in education, coaching, mentoring, youth work or similar settings.
• Strong communication and organisational skills.
• Confident leading groups of students in a classroom environment.
• Ability to adapt quickly and build positive relationships with staff and pupils.
• Good understanding of safeguarding and child protection.
• Hold an Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or be willing to obtain one.

Responsibilities

• Leading lessons using work prepared by teaching staff.
• Monitoring student engagement and encouraging participation in learning activities.
• Managing classroom behaviour effectively and consistently.
• Supporting students to stay on task and meet lesson objectives.
