Job summary

ACCIONA, a global leader in regenerative infrastructure, is recruiting a Cost Planner for the Northland Corridor project in Auckland. You will join the project controls team, track cost against budget, develop monthly cost reports and support procurement, changes and forecasts.

Requires a degree in quantity surveying, construction or engineering, cost planning experience, strong Excel and cost software, and clear cross‑functional communication. NZIQS/RICS/AIQS membership is a plus.

Qualifications

• Degree in quantity surveying, construction or engineering.
• Cost planning, estimating on major projects.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel and cost management software skills.
• Clear communication with delivery, commercial and finance teams.
• Preferred: NZIQS, RICS or AIQS membership.

Responsibilities

• Track project cost against budget and prepare monthly cost reports.
• Review accruals and vendor valuations to support progress claims.
• Support monthly forecasts and analyse key cost variances.
• Develop project schedules and track milestones and dependencies.

You will track cost, schedule and risk on a major motorway build and turn site data into clear monthly reports. You will work with commercial, finance and delivery teams, and support procurement, variations and change control. The role gives you a broad view of how a large project controls its budget across each design gate.
