Job summary

Inland Revenue seeks an intermediate solicitor to join the Corporate Legal team in Wellington (or Christchurch for the right candidate). You will advise on corporate, employment, commercial, property and public law, including information law matters, with a focus on drafting and risk assessment, and you’ll collaborate with internal clients and external counsel.

The role offers flexible working arrangements and requires current NZ practising certificate, with preference for Wellington location.

Qualifications

• Experience advising on Official Information and Privacy Acts.
• Strong drafting and interpretation of statutes.
• Proven ability to assess legal risks and provide practical advice.

Responsibilities

• Advise on corporate, employment, commercial, property and public law matters.
• Draft legal documents and interagency information sharing agreements.
