Reserve Bank of New Zealand – Te Putea Matua is seeking an experienced accounting professional to support the Depositor Compensation Scheme (DCS). The role leads financial reporting, budgeting and forecasting, and provides trusted accounting advice across the organisation.

You will partner with DCS leaders, ensure compliance with accounting standards, tax and governance requirements, and deliver high-quality management, Treasury and regulatory reporting.

Qualifications

  • A tertiary qualification in accounting.
  • CAANZ membership or be working towards Chartered Accountant status (or international equivalent).
  • Strong knowledge of accounting standards and financial reporting requirements.
  • Experience preparing budgets, forecasts, financial statements and management reporting.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving and communication skills.
  • Excellent relationship management skills and the ability to provide trusted financial advice to stakeholders.
  • Advanced spreadsheet and financial systems capability.
  • Experience with TechnologyOne would be advantageous.
  • Sound judgement and the ability to think strategically across a broad range of issues.

Join Te Putea Matua in a pivotal accounting role supporting the successful delivery of New Zealand's Depositor Compensation Scheme (DCS).Provide trusted financial advice and lead key financial reporting processes to support the DCS teamFixed term role until June 2028Te turanga | The roleYou will play a critical role in ensuring DCS financial obligations are delivered to a high standard.
