Job summary

Bank of New Zealand is seeking an experienced Test Lead to drive System Integration Testing and Quality Engineering across a major transformation programme in Wellington. You will lead end-to-end testing delivery, champion automation-first strategies, and mentor diverse teams to elevate quality and velocity.

You will partner with business, technology and delivery stakeholders to align testing with regulatory and customer expectations, while embedding shift-left practices and modern testing

Qualifications

• Lead SIT across large-scale programmes delivering high-quality outcomes.
• Define and champion Automation-First testing strategies and frameworks.
• Provide strategic leadership for Quality Engineering practices and standards.

Responsibilities

• Lead delivery of SIT and QE services across complex programmes.
• Define, implement and champion Automation-First testing strategies.
• Guide governance, standards, and scalable testing approaches across teams.
• Coach and develop quality engineering teams and promote continuous learning.
• Embed quality principles across delivery lifecycle and promote shift-left practices.
• Partner with business, technology, architecture and delivery stakeholders to manage risks and ensure outcomes.
