Job summary

Southern Institute of Technology invites applications for a part-time teaching role in Cookery and Hospitality at our Invercargill Campus. The position offers potential growth as student numbers rise.

You will take responsibility for teaching, student support, and programme administration, with development opportunities in line with SIT’s professional standards. Ideal candidates will hold a Certificate Qualification Level 4 or equivalent, and may undertake NZTA Level 5 training through SIT.

Qualifications

• Minimum Certificate Qualification Level 4 or equivalent.
• Training available toward NZ Certificate in Adult Tertiary Teaching (Level 5) via SIT.

Responsibilities

• Teaching - manage teaching and learning.
• Maintain positive relations with students and provide support.
• Complete administrative requirements for programme operation.
• Retain vocational currency and develop tutorial skills.
• Contribute to evaluation and development of programmes.
