Job summary

Cater Plus is hiring a Cook for Ingham’s, Waitoa (Matamata-Piako District) for 24 hours per week, rostered Monday to Wednesday. This open kitchen cafe-style role offers flexible start times and a chance to contribute to fresh, wholesome meals.

The ideal candidate brings bulk cooking experience, café/kitchen background, a customer‑facing mindset, and strong teamwork. You’ll stay calm under pressure, maintain clean, hazard-free hygiene, and grow through our training academy.

Qualifications

• Bulk cooking experience in a commercial kitchen or strong home cooking background.
• Creativity in food offerings and presentation.
• Passion for good food and outstanding customer service.
• Flexible, calm under pressure and a positive team member.
• Maintain a clean, safe kitchen and work unsupervised when required.

We need you to help us deliver the best food service experience in the industry! This is a varied position, working as part of a vibrant team to prepare and serve beautifully crafted café style food and wholesome meals

The ideal candidate will:

• Have bulk cooking experience, either within a commercial kitchen, or as an accomplished home cook.
• Demonstrate creativity in their food offerings and presentation.
• Be passionate about good food and outstanding customer service.
• Have a flexible, committed attitude and the ability to stay cool under pressure.
• Have good time management skills and a desire to be a productive and positive member of the team.
• Maintain a clean, tidy, safe and hazard free environment.
• Be confident to work unsupervised when required.
