Job summary

Cater Plus Services NZ Ltd is hiring a Cook to join our team based at Ingham’s, Waitoa, in the Matamata-Piako District. This 24 hours per week role is part time but flexible across shift times Monday to Friday, with open kitchen/cafeteria experience preferred.

The ideal candidate will bring bulk cooking experience, creativity in food offerings and presentation, and a passion for great customer service, while staying calm under pressure and maintaining a clean, safe workspace.

This position is part time but can be flexible to work across the various shift start and finish times as required.

Do you have experience working in an open kitchen cafeteria? Looking for a local role in the Matamata-Piako District? Yes – then read on! We have an opportunity for a Cook superstar to join our team based at Ingham’s, Waitoa.

The ideal candidate will:

• Have bulk cooking experience, either within a commercial kitchen, or as an accomplished home cook
• Demonstrate creativity in their food offerings and presentation
• Be passionate about good food and outstanding customer service
• Have a flexible, committed attitude and the ability to stay cool under pressure
• Have good time management skills and a desire to be a productive and positive member of the team
• Maintain a clean, tidy, safe and hazard free environment
• Be confident to work unsupervised when required
