Terrace View Rest Home in Ashburton is seeking a Weekend Cook/Chef to prepare and serve wholesome meals for residents. Work 16 hours across Saturdays and Sundays, with a focus on healthy, home-style dishes and high dining standards.

This role suits someone who wants weekday freedom, enjoys cooking, and can work independently while maintaining food safety and kitchen hygiene. Experience in a catering or kitchen setting is preferred.

What you'll be doing

• Preparing, cooking, and serving wholesome, nutritious meals
• Following established menus while bringing care and consistency to every dish
• Baking and preparing sweet and savoury items
• Managing food safety, dietary requirements, and kitchen hygiene standards
• Supporting smooth kitchen operations and service delivery
• Creating a positive and welcoming dining experience for residents.

To be successful in this role you'll have:

• Previous kitchen experience in a cook, chef, or catering environment
• Confidence working independently and managing your time effectively
