Job summary

Datacom in New Zealand is seeking a senior full-stack developer to design, build and deliver modern cloud-based applications across the full technology stack. You will work closely with technical and business stakeholders to improve outcomes, strengthen delivery quality, and bring thoughtful ideas to the table.

The ideal candidate has strong full-stack experience with .NET and React, plus GraphQL (Apollo/HotChocolate) and cloud deployment knowledge.

Qualifications

• 5+ years building full-stack applications with .NET and React.
• Experience delivering cloud-based solutions across front-end and back-end systems.
• Experience with GraphQL frameworks such as Apollo or HotChocolate.
• Experience with modern deployment practices and code reviews.
• Customer-facing work experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Oversee analysis, design, programming, debugging and modification of software.
• Participate in code reviews to maintain high quality and reduce defects.
• Resolve defects and clarify gaps in design and functionality.
• Provide progress updates and suggest improvements to leads.
• Collaborate with project leads, customers, and business owners on improvements.

Responsibilities

• Participate actively in code reviews to maintain high code quality and minimise defects.
• Support the resolution of defects within your domain and clarify gaps or ambiguities in functional and technical design.
• Provide progress updates, highlight delays, and recommend code or process improvements to business leads.
• Collaborate with project leads, customers, and business owners to provide thought leadership on improvements and technologies.
• Work with relevant team members to develop, code, configure, and report on solutions that meet business requirements.
• Take responsibility for your personal and professional development and stay current with best practices and technologies.

Requirements

Looking for candidates with strong full-stack development experience across both front-end and back-end technologies.

Key skills and experience required:

• Eligible to work in New Zealand.
• Extensive experience in both front-end and back-end development is a plus.
• 5+ years of experience building full-stack applications with .NET and React is a plus.
• Experience with GraphQL frameworks such as Apollo or HotChocolate is a plus.
• Experience delivering scalable cloud-based solutions across front-end and back-end systems is a plus.
• Experience with modern deployment practices and contributing effectively to code reviews is a plus.
• Experience in a customer-facing role is a plus.
