Downer is seeking a Contract Engineer - Roadmarking in Invercargill to lead field operations and ensure safe, efficient contract delivery. You will coordinate field crews, clients and management to meet quality and safety standards.

The role involves resource management, audits, reporting, and building strong relationships with stakeholders across the Southland region. A strong safety mindset and engineering background are essential.

Qualifications

• Qualified engineer with NZCE/diploma/BE or cadetship near completion.
• Strong leadership and team development experience.
• Commitment to health, safety, quality, and environment.

Responsibilities

• Lead Southland based roadmarking team to deliver work safely and on time.
• Manage resources, programmes, traffic management, and inventory for contracts.
• Coordinate site visits, audits, and reporting with clients and management.
• Build strong client and stakeholder relationships through regular communication.
• Promote Downer's Zero Harm culture and drive continuous improvement.
