Job summary

Vs Group of Enterprises Limited is opening a new store in Dunedin and seeks a Store Manager to oversee daily operations, ensuring excellent customer service and high-quality products. You will lead a team, manage stock, budgets, and supplier relations while upholding the store's reputation for excellence.

Hours are 35–40 per week with pay between $35–$36 per hour, depending on skills and experience.

Qualifications

• Tertiary-level qualification or at least two years of supervisory/management experience.
• Strong leadership, communication and organisational skills.

Responsibilities

• Efficiently manage the overall operations of the store.
• Lead the team independently and supervise staff to ensure smooth day-to-day operations.
• Manage the daily operations of the store effectively and efficiently.
• Manage and supervise staff, including recruitment, rostering, training, and performance evaluation.
• Develop and implement policies and procedures to ensure efficient and effective store operations.
• Monitor and analyse sales and financial data.
• Maintain excellent communication with staff, management, suppliers, and customers.
• Manage finances, including budgeting, cash handling, and financial reporting.
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with suppliers and negotiate contracts and pricing where required.
• Implement marketing and promotional activities to attract and retain customers.
• Resolve customer complaints and ensure a high level of customer satisfaction.
• Strategically plan and support the growth of the business at a local level, with a focus on increasing regular and casual customer numbers.
• Introduce and implement new and innovative ideas to generate revenue and improve business performance.
• Manage store operations with passion, integrity, and knowledge while promoting the company’s culture and values.
• Provide direction and guidance to shift staff to achieve store goals and targets.
• Provide coaching and feedback to staff and assess performance on an ongoing basis.
