Job summary

The Broadcast Co is seeking a Content Creator & Social Media Personality for a casual/contract hybrid role in the Bay of Plenty. You will follow our crew to events, capture behind-the-scenes footage, and craft short-form videos for TikTok, Instagram, and Facebook.

You’ll appear on camera, pitch ideas, plan and schedule posts, and help grow our brand across platforms. This position requires travel around New Zealand and a proactive, self-starting mindset.

Qualifications

• Digital native with strong knowledge of TikTok/Instagram.
• Confident on camera and able to speak to audiences.
• Experience shooting and editing short-form content.
• Interest in motorsport and broadcasting preferred.
• Independent, creative self-starter with initiative.

Responsibilities

• Attend live events and shoots to capture behind-the-scenes footage (short-form video, photos, stories).
• Create engaging, fast-paced social content for TikTok, Instagram Reels, and Facebook.
• Appear on camera and speak confidently to represent the brand’s voice and style.
• Pitch creative ideas for ongoing campaigns and content series.
• Plan, schedule, and post content across platforms.
• Build an organic audience based on current trends.
• Track performance metrics and tweak content strategy accordingly.

Content Creator & Social Media Personality (Contract/Casual)

Location: Bay of Plenty/ Tauranga (potentially remote)

Contract Type: Casual / Freelance

The Broadcast Co is a fast-growing live streaming and broadcast company bringing motorsports, concerts, sporting events, and corporate functions to screens across Aotearoa. We tell our clients stories, now we need someone to help tell ours.

We’re looking for a creative, confident content creator to follow us behind-the-scenes at events, capturing content and bring our brand to TikTok, Instagram, Facebook, and other platforms.

You’ll act as the face and voice of our brand, creating short-form video content, promos, and engaging social media stories that show who we are and what we do.

This is a hybrid role: part on-site filming and content creation, part strategic planning. You’ll need to understand what works on different platforms and be confident on camera when needed.

• We provide you all the equipment needed as well as cover all flights and accommodation for out of town jobs.

• A digital native who lives and breathes TikTok, Instagram, and understands social media.
• Someone happy to travel around New Zealand and work alongside our crew on events
• Confident being on-camera and improvising on the fly
• A skilled shooter/editor
• Someone who has an interest or is willing to learn more about the motorsport world and broadcasting in general
• A creative self-starter who’s happy working independently.

Preferred however not necessary:

• Experience building a following for a brand or creator.
• Proficiency with an editing program (Premiere, Capcut etc)
• Graphic design fundamentals
• Understanding of social analytics and reporting.
• Understanding of how to design and create a social media strategy
