Job summary

Maxillofacial Surgeon role in Christchurch, New Zealand, with Health New Zealand’s Maxillofacial Surgery service. You will provide comprehensive clinical care across outpatient clinics, theatres, inpatient services and on-call duties, while actively teaching registrars, medical students, nurses and allied health staff.

Qualifications

• Registration with both the Dental Council of New Zealand and the Medical Council of New Zealand (or eligibility for registration).
• Expertise across general Maxillofacial Surgery.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively across multidisciplinary teams.

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality clinical care across outpatient clinics, operating theatre sessions, acute and inpatient services.
• Participate in a 1:3 on-call roster and contribute to patient care continuity.
• Teach and supervise Registrars, House Officers, Medical Students, Nursing staff and Allied Health professionals.
