Health New Zealand – Te Whatu Ora Te Tai Tokerau in Whangārei is seeking an Emergency Medicine Consultant to join our dedicated team. This permanent full-time role offers a balanced lifestyle in the coastal north and the chance to deliver high-quality care in a high-needs population.

You will mentor junior trainees (Part 1 and Part 2) and contribute to ongoing clinical excellence and education, while working within a supportive, collegiate ED.

Qualifications

• Specialist medical registration with the Medical Council of New Zealand (MCNZ) in Emergency Medicine
• Eligible for specialist or locum tenens registration with MCNZ in Emergency Medicine

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality emergency care as a consultant in Whangārei Hospital
• Guide and mentor Part 1 and Part 2 trainees in the ED
