About the Role

We have a great opportunity for a Senior Medical Officer/Consultant Histopathologist to join our growing team in the Anatomical Pathology Department at Waikato Hospital. Our pathologists cover all areas of general histopathology and non-gynae cytology with the opportunity to participate in some areas of sub speciality depending on the applicants background and experience. As an anatomical pathologist in our team youll have autonomy, mastery and purpose to deliver your mahi and contribute to the broader objectives of our busy laboratory.

The successful applicant will be based in Hamilton at Waikato hospital, working in partnership within a team of 11 anatomical pathologists and 2 registrars. The department works in collaboration with clinicians from across the hospital and region to deliver anatomical pathology services in a tertiary hospital setting.

  • A Fellowship of the Royal College of Pathologists of Australasia (FRCPA) or an equivalent qualification and be eligible for vocational registration with the Medical Council of New Zealand (MCNZ).
