Job summary

Turna Brothers Ltd in Auckland is seeking a Project Manager to lead portable building and installation projects from planning through to completion. You will coordinate clients, consultants, suppliers, and regulators, ensuring safety, quality, and on-time delivery.

The role requires strong leadership, NZ construction knowledge, and a track record of delivering complex projects. NZ citizenship or rights to work is preferred.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of relevant work experience OR a minimum diploma qualification.
• Strong knowledge of construction methods, project management principles, and NZ building regulations.
• Excellent leadership, planning, organisational, and communication skills.
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work under pressure to meet deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Interpret drawings, specs, and project requirements.
• Coordinate labour and procurement of materials.
• Liaise with architects, engineers, consultants, and suppliers.
• Negotiate with clients, subcontractors, and suppliers for timely delivery.
• Prepare estimates, tenders, quotations, and contracts.
• Develop and monitor project schedules and work programs.
• Ensure compliance with NZ building legislation, safety, and quality standards.
• Coordinate plan submissions to local authorities.
• Manage builders or supervise subcontractors.
• Monitor subcontractor performance for quality and timetables.
• Arrange inspections and ensure compliance before completion.
• Monitor budgets, risks, and provide progress updates.
