Job summary

SouthRoads Ltd in Invercargill is seeking a Construction Contract Manager to lead highway construction and rehab projects across Southland. You will drive siteworks, manage crews, and ensure projects meet safety and quality standards.

Ideally you bring hands-on roading experience, strong leadership, and a solid grasp of NZTA specs and local government requirements to keep projects on time and within budget.

About The role

You'll be running the show on highway and rehab work, including:

• Highway construction and road rehabilitation
• Applying NZTA specs, Southland District Council (SDC) and Invercargill City Council (ICC) requirements
• Coordinating labour, plant and subcontractors
• Controlling onsite quality and health and safety
• Keeping budgets on track
• Making sure everyone gets home safe, every day
