Job summary

Qualifications

Responsibilities

At Zenith Tecnica, we partner with global industry leaders to build complex titanium 3D-printed components using Electron Beam Melting (EBM) technology. We are creating structural components for satellites orbiting Earth, life-changing medical implants, and critical parts for the marine and performance sectors.

We are now preparing the business for our next stage of international growth. Reporting directly to the Head of Quality & Compliance, we are seeking a detail-driven Compliance & Quality Coordinator to join our team to help make that happen.

About the Opportunity: Evolution of the Role

To unlock this new market, your first 12 months will have a strong focus on preparing Zenith Tecnica for CMMC Level 2 compliance (the US Department of Defence cybersecurity certification) by working alongside our external IT and cybersecurity partners to establish robust cybersecurity frameworks, processes, and policies.

However, you won't just be sitting behind a desk; from day one, you will also actively support and back up our day-to-day Quality operations including inspection, QMS administration, non-conformance and change activities, and audit preparation during this busy setup phase. This is a hands-on role with a unique combination of responsibilities across our compliance department, including cybersecurity, export controls and manufacturing quality.

Following achievement of the required CMMC status, the role will shift from implementation to ongoing CMMC compliance, evidence maintenance, annual affirmation support, export compliance and increased Quality support as we scale up.

This is a career-building role offering rare, highly sought-after exposure to CMMC, NIST SP 800-171, EAR, ITAR, AS9100, and ISO 13485 in aerospace and medical industries.

Key Responsibilities

• Year 1 Focus: Cyber Setup & Active Quality Support
• CMMC & NIST Administration: Partner with our external IT and cybersecurity service providers to establish, document, and meet the 110+ security controls required for NIST SP 800-171 and CMMC Level 2 compliance.
• Policy & Process Design: Turn complex cyber and regulatory requirements into practical, business-enabling policies, procedures, and work instructions, and train the team accordingly.
• Quality Operations Support: Provide support to the Quality team during inward goods, final inspection, review of quality records, create customer data packages, document control, non-conformance and CAPA administration, support engineering changes, and preparation for customer or certification audits.
• Export & Trade Controls: Help build out and enforce our Export Compliance Program and Technology Control Plans to meet strict US Export Controls (EAR/ITAR) and Export Control requirements of other countries.
• Customer Collaboration: Coordinate with prospective customers' compliance and quality teams to satisfy initial onboarding requirements and security questionnaires.
• Software Governance: Support the risk assessment, supplier evaluation and validation of critical software to ensure it is secure, reliable, and poses no threat to our environments.
• Risk & Mitigation: Conduct compliance risk assessments and collaborate across the company to implement effective mitigation strategies.
• Training & Awareness: Develop and deliver engaging compliance training and awareness programmes across the organisation.
• Ongoing & Future Focus: Compliance, Quality Maintenance & Improvements
• Customer Success & Retention: Act as a key technical point of contact for existing customers' compliance and quality teams, ensuring their ongoing standards are met and maintaining exceptionally high satisfaction.
• Export Compliance: Become the ‘go-to’ person for Export Controls and CMMC compliance questions from the team, lead Export Compliance meetings and drive Export Compliance culture in the wider team.
• System Upkeep: Maintain long-term compliance for all cybersecurity, trade controls, and Quality Management Systems (QMS).
• Audits & Pre-Assessments: Coordinate and support internal, external, and supplier audits across both cyber frameworks and manufacturing standards.
• Traceability & Data: Ensure raw materials and 3D-printed parts maintain perfect traceability. Prepare quality data packages for Certificate of Compliance documents.
• Continuous Improvement: Drive resolution of non-conformances (NC), issue Supplier Corrective Action Reports (SCARs), and support CAPA processes.
• Horizon Scanning: Monitor international regulatory developments and proactively advise the business on emerging compliance obligations and risks.

About You

You don't need to be a cybersecurity expert or already know every regulation listed above. What matters most is that you can understand complex requirements, work out what they mean for a real business, and turn them into practical actions.

Relevant Experience: Background in governance, risk and compliance, regulatory affairs, export controls, trade compliance, cybersecurity compliance, or a related field (exposure to ISO 9001, AS9100, ISO 13485, ISO 27001, or CMMC is highly advantageous). IT systems and cybersecurity experience is not specifically required but would be beneficial as you will need to be comfortable discussing these with our external specialist partners and translating those discussions into documented compliance requirements and actions.

Regulatory Translation: Strong ability to interpret complex legal and regulatory requirements and translate them into practical, business-enabling policies, processes, and corporate workflows.

Communication Skills: Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with a proven ability to explain complex regulatory requirements in a practical, accessible way to diverse internal teams.

Problem Solving & Stakeholders: Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and stakeholder management skills, balanced with a healthy respect for team collaboration and corporate diversity.

Core Mindset: High attention to detail, sound judgement, and a rock-solid commitment to operational integrity. You understand that in our world, accuracy saves lives and launches missions.

Execution & Learning: Equally comfortable writing corporate compliance policies and rolling up your sleeves to handle physical component inspections. We will fully train you on niche US Export Controls (EAR/ITAR) if you have the core aptitude.

Requirements: You must meet US Export Control eligibility criteria to handle restricted technical data and be available for full-time, on-site work.
