Job summary

The Wellington is seeking Personal Support Workers to join our long-term care home. You will provide hands-on personal care, assist residents with daily activities, and support restorative approaches to promote independence and dignity.

This role reports to the Home Area Lead and emphasizes culturally safe, person-centered care. We offer casual shifts, flexible hours, and a welcoming team dedicated to making every moment matter for residents.

Qualifications

• PSW certification with 600+ hours is required.
• Current or eligible for health and supportive care registration.
• TB test and vaccination records are required.
• Experience in long-term care and dementia care is preferred.
• Strong interpersonal and written/oral communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Support residents with daily living activities per care plan.
• Promote dignity, autonomy and culturally safe care.
• Document care and observations in the electronic record.
• Collaborate with nursing and restorative teams to meet goals.
• Follow safety protocols and reporting procedures.
