Job summary

Summerset Retirement Villages is seeking a friendly Housekeeper/Laundry Assistant for our Summerset at Karaka village. This casual role focuses on keeping resident rooms and common areas clean, well-laundered, and homely, so residents feel comfortable and safe at home.

You'll be part of a warm team, with full training provided. No prior experience required, but pride in your work and a caring approach are essential to support our residents and whānau.

Qualifications

• Experience in housekeeping, ideally in healthcare or hospitality.
• Pride in your work and attention to small details.
• Physically fit and able to stand for long periods.
• Genuine interest in aged care; full training provided.

Responsibilities

• Clean resident rooms, bathrooms, communal areas, laundry, and kitchen facilities.
• Launder, fold and return residents' clothing and linens with care.
• Label, mend and maintain residents' personal laundry items.
• Support infection control measures and health and safety procedures.
• Build friendly, respectful relationships with residents and their whānau.
