Job summary

The University of Auckland is seeking reliable testers across Auckland, Wellington and Christchurch to support a population health study. You’ll work onsite at venues, assisting participants through the testing process with empathy and confidentiality. Training will be provided; prior tester experience is not required.

Availability across Monday–Sunday, including some evenings, with possible on‑call duties. Start: 1 February 2027; End: 30 April 2027.

• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with a diverse range of people.
• High level of empathy, discretion and confidentiality when working with participants and sensitive information.
• Professional, approachable and non-judgemental manner.
• Strong attention to detail and the ability to follow processes and instructions accurately.
• High level of reliability and commitment, including flexibility to work across different days and times.

Responsibilities

• Support participants through the testing process.
• Provide a welcoming and respectful experience while maintaining confidentiality.
• Work onsite at participating venues and cover varied shifts (Mon-Sun, day/evening).
• Be on-call when required.
• Maintain professionalism and care in sensitive situations.
