Job summary

Care on Call (NZ) Ltd in Raglan is looking for compassionate carers/support workers to help clients with daily tasks, companionship and home support. You will empower clients to achieve their goals and work across community, residential, aged care or rehab settings.

Role involves assisting with personal cares, light housework, meal preparation and driving clients to appointments. A friendly, proactive attitude and reliable, punctual service are essential.

Qualifications

• Excellent communication with clients and team members.
• Located in Raglan and eligible to work in NZ.
• Own a current, clean full driver’s licence.
• Prior caregiving experience with similar clients preferred.
• Energetic, proactive, reliable, punctual and caring.
• Willingness to follow established procedures and adapt to various settings.

Responsibilities

• Provide personal cares (showering, toileting, dressing).
• Assist with passive exercises and stretches.
• Help with housework and meal preparation.
• Drive clients to appointments, work meetings and community events.
• Offer companionship and engage clients in activities.

Care on Call is passionate about supporting people in the community and we take pride in the personalised service we deliver to clients and the staff we work with.

We have clients needing some help around their home, companionship and support with their daily activities around Raglan.

We are looking for the cream of the crop caregivers/support workers who can empower our clients and help them achieve their goals. It would be desirable if you had previous experience working in a community, residential, aged care or rehab setting.

Our Carers support our clients with their daily tasks, social activities and work commitments. This includes but is not limited to:

• Personal cares (showering, toileting, dressing)
• Passive exercises and stretches
• House work and meal preparation
• Driving client's in their vehicle to get to appointments, work meetings and community/social events

To match well with our clients you will need to be a special kind of person. One that has initiative, gets on well with others, is able to adapt to various situations and settings, can follow set processes and tasks, is proactive, has a 'can do' attitude and has great community skills.

Additional requirements

• Great communication skills
• Currently located in Raglan
• A current, clean full driver's licence
• Previous experience as a caregiver/support worker with similar clients
• The legal right to work in NZ
• Energetic, initiative, and a good sense of humor
• To be reliable, punctual, honest and caring
