Job summary

Medcall Health Personnel seeks a compassionate Community Support Worker to assist clients in Napier/Hastings, providing daily living support, personal care, and social engagement.

The role involves driving clients, helping with housework, and facilitating activities. Applicants should have strong communication, a valid NZ driver’s licence, and a genuine desire to help others. NZ work rights are required, with a focus on reliability and empathy.

Qualifications

• Great communication skills.
• A current, clean full driver’s licence.
• Ideally Level 2 Health and Wellbeing certificate (or above).
• Previous experience as a caregiver/support worker with similar clients.
• The legal right to work in NZ.
• Energetic, initiative, and a good sense of humour.
• To be reliable, punctual, honest and caring.

Responsibilities

• Assist clients with daily tasks and social activities.
• Provide personal cares and help with housework and meal preparation.
• Transport clients to appointments, work meetings and events.
• Support passive exercises and stretches as needed.

Medcall Health Personnel – Hastings, North Island

Care on Callprovides support to people withintheir homesafter injury, illness or just to make their lives easier. We are always looking for professional, warm, capable people who have a real desire to make a difference in someone's life.

You will join an existing supportive and caring team who look after our clients with their daily tasks, social activities and work commitments. This includes but is not limited to:

• Manual Handling
• Personal Cares
• House work and meal preparation
• Driving client’s in their vehicle to get to appointments, work meetings and community/social events
• Passive exercises and stretches

Additional requirements

• Great communication skills
• A current, clean full driver’s licence
• Ideally minimum Level 2 Health and Wellbeing certificate (or above)
• Previous experience as a caregiver/support worker with similar clients
• The legal right to work in NZ
• Energetic, initiative, and a good sense of humour
