Job summary

Downer in Gisborne is seeking a Customer & Stakeholder Manager to be the key link between Downer, clients, local businesses, community groups, residents and stakeholders across the Gisborne region. This is a unique opportunity to help keep the region connected while ensuring customers and communities are informed, engaged and supported.

This role can be tailored as either 30 or 40 hours per week for the right person, offering flexibility while still providing the opportunity to make a meaningful

Qualifications

• Experience building strong relationships with clients, communities and authorities.
• Proven track record in delivering excellent customer service and timely responses.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Experience in community engagement, communications, or local government is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain relationships with clients, local authorities, iwi, businesses, community groups, and residents across Gisborne.
• Be the main contact for customer and stakeholder enquiries with high service standards.
• Develop, implement and manage stakeholder engagement and communication plans.
• Collaborate with operations to minimise disruption during maintenance and construction.
• Handle customer requests and enquiries, resolving issues efficiently.
• Prepare reports, presentations and communication materials for clients and management.
• Promote a customer-focused culture while upholding health, safety, environmental and quality standards.
