Job description

We are developing our first original internal IP in partnership with Viva La Dirt League (VLDL Games) and are looking for a Community & Marketing Manager to join the team and help build the game’s audience, community, and social media presence.

You will be responsible for leading the game’s social media, community, and marketing activities, working closely with the Prismatic Studios and Viva La Dirt League teams to develop and execute a marketing strategy from the early stages of development through to launch and beyond. You will help shape how we communicate the game to players, build excitement around its development, and grow an active and engaged community.

The role will involve planning and creating engaging content for social media, coordinating promotional activities, working with content creators and media, and collaborating directly with the Viva La Dirt League marketing team to capture promotional content with their cast and wider team. As the game approaches announcement, public playtesting, and release, you will also take responsibility for growing and managing the game’s community, gathering feedback, and maintaining active communication with players.

We are looking for someone who is creative, organised, and comfortable wearing multiple hats, with a strong understanding of social media, gaming communities, and digital marketing. An ideal candidate will be confident creating short-form video content, photography, and social media posts, with an excellent eye for spotting opportunities to capture engaging content both in the office and on set. We value someone who takes initiative, keeps up with social media trends, and has a genuine passion for games, pop culture, and engaging with fans.

This is a full-time fixed-term employment position commencing in January 2027. This is an on-site position based primarily at our Takapuna office in Auckland, New Zealand. The role will also involve regular collaboration with the Viva La Dirt League marketing team at their Henderson, Auckland office, as well as attending filming days and promotional activities around Auckland. Due to the collaborative and hands‑on nature of this position, remote work is not available. Please note, you must have the right to work in New Zealand to be eligible for this position.

We highly value diversity. Regardless of disability, gender, sexual orientation, ethnicity, or any other aspect of your culture or identity, you have an important role to play in our team.

Salary Range: NZD $70,000 – $82,300
